Small-town America is alive and well in Valley Center!  Little league sports, a rich sense of history, community pride, and successful schools make up the fabric of our community. Involvement is a way of life here. Everybody, it seems, participates. Nowhere is community involvement more pronounced than in the schools, recognized throughout the area for the range and excellence of our academic and extracurricular programs.

Valley Center USD 262 is comprised of 83 square miles primarily in Sedgwick County and a small portion of Harvey County. The district’s boundaries bring students from Kechi, Park City, Sedgwick, Valley Center, and Wichita addresses. The school district serves approximately 2,600 students in grades pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade. We also have an Adult Diploma Completion Program at our Learning Center. The district has one high school grades 9-12, one alternative high school grades 9-12, one middle school grades 6-8, and three elementary schools - two grades pre-kindergarten-3, and one grades 4-5.
